Stuff about me

Parkas are ace!
That's me, over there on the left, in about 1978. In my mind I'm still that age, when comics were printed on the sort of paper your school used for loo roll, Star Wars hadn't been ruined yet and I still couldn't draw a Celestial like Jack Kirby did.
I never did think I'd be able to make a living out of drawing (and there are many days when I still don't) but it's the one thing I did persevere with and I eventually found some affinity with cartooning and design that led to a career in moving boxes and type around on a page combined with some silly drawings. It's not a proper job, I know but I doubt I'll ever have one of those now.
I like old pixely video games, comics, stop-motion animation, You'll Die Laughing bubblegum cards and the line drawings you get in '70s and '80s Dungeons & Dragons books. But I don't like rice pudding. Or clowns.
