In the great tradition of leaving my son's birthday cards right to the last minute I present to you my 2010 offering. He was 7 this year and despite what you may have heard Pokemon fever is still alive and strong in the UK playground. The swapping and trading of cards is regularly banned, re-instated and then banned again in my son's school so what better way to stir things up than to give him his own card!
I wasn't, however, quite prepared for the fuss this would cause. In addition to putting the pic on a birthday card I also did a real Pokemon-sized card version and, just for authenticity, I also backed it onto a real card and encapsulated it under the pretense of it being teh uber rarez! All I can say is that small boys are easily fooled :) The downside, though, is that I now have a barrage of requests for loads of other 'custom' cards.
